Most people know that chocolate is dangerous for dogs and cats to eat, but did you know that coffee and tea are dangerous for pets too? There are many foods you should not let your pets eat, like onion, garlic, yeast dough and even avocado. Grapes and raisins are especially toxic to dogs, too.
Even certain plants and flowers can be toxic or deadly to pets.
Cats should not be allowed to eat lilies, daffodils, tulips or sago palm. And make sure your dogs do not eat azalea, lilies or sago either.
Another danger area, especially with dogs, is eating medicine meant for people, so make sure pills are out of your pets’ reach and in safe containers. And of course, leftover bones can crack and cause choking, so don’t give bones to dogs!
Remember these pet safety tips to keep your pets healthy and happy all year round.
